I’ve been looking through some of the old photographs that my dad has been scanning from old family slides and storing online. Here are some real gems:

This is a photograph of my dad (left), my grandpa (in the middle; he passed away when I was pretty young), and my uncle Ray. When my dad was a kid, the whole family would take long camping trips in the woods every year. They’d fish, drive Landrovers off-road, and just generally enjoy being camped in the middle of trees and dirt.

I think this photo is a cool complement to the previous one. It’s my nanny (grandma), her sister, and my great-grandma, who has long since passed away. This was taken a whole generation before the photo above it, on the ranch that my nanny lived on as a little girl.
i know it!
my dad has been slowly and diligently scanning boxes-worth of decades-old slides from my grandma’s attic. this is him and my aunt fay and a cat that’s probably long gone.
